Covid-19 League Update

Dear Yalesville Little League Families,

First and foremost, we hope that everyone is well and in good health. Since our last update, dates of possible reopening activities have been continually pushed out as new guidance was flowed down through the Center for Disease Control and the State of Connecticut. While we are still in a holding pattern in regard to a potential season, Governor Lamont has mentioned youth sports in his Phase 2 reopening plan starting June 20th. In the coming days, we are expecting the Governor to release information outlining the phase guidelines in regard to these activities, allowing us additional resources on how to proceed. Following that, our Board of Directors will be holding a meeting next Tuesday, June 9th to decide if games can be resumed in a safe manner for all of our players, coaches, and families. If it is deemed so, a detailed plan to restart must be submitted to the Park and Recreation Department for approval. Until that happens, the Park and Recreation Department has told all leagues not to announce any future plans. While we hope to see everyone as soon as possible, the safety of the Yalesville Little League family is always our first priority. We hope to provide potential next steps within the coming week(s).
